General Requirements for Employment
- Experience in the use of common hand and power tools is preferred but not necessary.
- Must posess the physical strength and endurance to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, and overtime, as required.
- Must be willing to work through all four seasons.
General Job Duties of a General Skilled Laborer
- Understands what basic hand tools are and how to safely operate them.
- Able to read a tape measure and show up, prepared with proper personal tools daily.
- Able to listen, comprehend, and follow directions, as provided by the supervisor.
- Understands differences in basic building materials.
- Attentive to jobsite surroundings and cognizant of safety hazards within the workspace.
- Communicates well, both vertically and horizontally, within the organization.
- Display honesty, a good attitude, and a good work ethic
- Lift and carry, balance, walk, stoop, place, utilize, and handle tools and materials relevant to the jobsite in a fast-paced environment
- Daily jobsite cleanup and concrete cleanup as necessary to aid in longevity of tools and supplies
