General Requirements for Employment
- Experience in the use of common hand and power tools is preferred but not necessary.
- Must posess the physical strength and endurance to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, and overtime, as required.
- Must be willing to work through all four season.
General Job Duties of a Concrete Finisher
- Able to place, straight edge, float, and wet edge concrete
- Understands the importance of establishing and maintining grade in a concrete placement.
- Understands concrete timing and the transition from plastic state to hardened state.
- Effectively uses hand trowel along edges and walls to finish concrete.
- Able to operate walk behind power trowel properly and efficiently.
- Familiar with ride on power trowels and how to operate them.
- Understands concrete curing and how to apply concrete sealants and/or curing compounds.
- Able to install concrete crack control and operate soff cut concrete saws.
